The Position
We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Manager at our North Wiltshire Crematorium near Royal Wootton Bassett. You will be joining a team of 3 who care for over 1,400 cremations per annum.
The role of a Site Manager is varied, busy and challenging and no more so in a new site, where you will take ownership of the site financial obligations, lead and develop your team, establish and develop relationships with funeral directors and links within the local community. You will play a major role in the hands on day to day operation of your site operations ensuring compliance with cremation procedures and legislation, reflecting our values and creating a culture and environment focused on standards and putting families first.
We are seeking a candidate who is highly flexible, well-motivated and self-starting who possesses the drive and energy to provide the highest level of service to the bereaved. You must have significant managerial experience and be keen to develop the site and team to drive improvements and deliver results.
The Person
The ideal candidate will have:
- A caring and sympathetic nature to deal with the bereaved at a sensitive time.
- Experience in leading and managing a small team.
- A proven track record in driving improvements and performance.
- Experience with basic financial procedures and reporting.
- A desire to learn and develop within the bereavement industry.
- A flexible and approachable attitude to the needs of the public.
- A good standard of education including a sound knowledge of Mathematics and English.
- Crematorium and cemetery management experience would be advantageous.
